Description
Supatile Lightweight Metal Roof Ridge - 900mm - Charcoal Grey
The Supatile Ridge is the capping piece that finishes the apex of your roof, covering the line where two pitches meet and weatherproofing the highest and most exposed part of the building. Each ridge is 900mm long and laps neatly over the top course of Supatile tile sheets on both sides, giving a clean, factory-matched finish on sheds, garages, garden offices, summerhouses, stables and other small buildings.
It is made from the same high grade steel as the rest of the Supatile system, primed with a water-based acrylic, coated with Aluzinc (55% aluminium, 45% zinc) and bonded with charcoal stone granules. The result is a lightweight, hard-wearing cap that resists storm, hail, snow and corrosion.
Because Supatile ridges simply overlap, there is no cutting and no wastage. Lap each piece over the next along the length of the roof to suit any ridge, sit them over the 50mm gap left at the apex, then finish the open ends with Supatile Ridge End Caps. Fix using Supatile screw and washer fixings, available in bags of 10.
Why choose the Supatile Ridge?
900mm cover per piece, overlapping to fit any ridge length. Covers 170mm down each slope for a secure, weathertight seal. Charcoal grey to match Supatile tile sheets, barge boards and end caps exactly. Lightweight steel with an Aluzinc coating and stone-granule finish. No cutting required, so there is no wastage.

Supatile roof sheet FAQs
How many Supatile ridges do I need?
Measure your ridge line in metres, divide by 0.9, then round up and add one extra piece to allow for the overlaps between caps. As an example, a 4 metre ridge needs five ridges (4 divided by 0.9 is 4.4, rounded up to 5). You will also need two Ridge End Caps to close off the ends.
Do I need Ridge End Caps as well?
Yes. The Ridge End Caps close off the open ends of the ridge at the gable for a neat, weatherproof finish. They are sold separately.
Can I cut the ridge to length?
There is no need. Supatile ridges are designed to overlap, so you lap one piece over the next until you reach the far end. This avoids cutting and leaves no wastage.
What fixings does the ridge need?
Fix the ridge with Supatile screw and washer fixings, driven into the barge boards at the ends and down into the flange of the tile sheets beneath. The fixings come in bags of 10.
