Description
Supatile Lightweight Metal Roof Ridge End - Charcoal Grey
The Supatile Ridge End Cap is the small but essential piece that closes off the open end of the ridge where it meets the gable. Without it, the apex of the roof is left exposed at each end. The end cap seals that gap, sheds water away from the most vulnerable point of the roof and gives the ridge line a clean, finished appearance on sheds, garages, garden offices, summerhouses and other small buildings.
It is made from the same high grade steel as the rest of the Supatile system, primed with a water-based acrylic, coated with Aluzinc (55% aluminium, 45% zinc) and bonded with charcoal stone granules. The cap has two fold-over ears that tuck neatly under the first ridge piece, so once fitted it sits flush and weathertight.
Fitting is quick. Centre the end cap on the apex, fix a single Supatile screw and washer fixing through the centre, then bend both ears over so the ridge cap laps over them when it is fitted. End caps go on first, before the ridge caps are run along the length. Fixings are available in bags of 10.
Why choose the Supatile Ridge End Cap?
Closes and weatherproofs the open ends of the ridge line. Fold-over ears for a flush fit beneath the ridge caps. Charcoal grey to match the Supatile tile sheets, ridges and barge boards exactly. Lightweight Aluzinc-coated steel with a stone-granule finish. Fits with a single fixing in seconds.

Supatile roof sheet FAQs
How many ridge end caps do I need?
You need one for each open end of a ridge line. A standard gable roof has a single ridge with two open ends, so most builds need two end caps. Hipped roofs or buildings with more than one ridge line will need more, so count the open ends on your roof.
What does the ridge end cap do?
It closes the open end of the ridge at the gable. This stops wind and rain getting under the ridge at its most exposed point and gives the roof a neat, professional finish.
How is it fitted?
Centre the end cap on the apex of the roof, fix a single screw and washer fixing through the centre, then bend both ears over so they underlap the first ridge cap. Fit the end caps before you run the ridge caps along the length of the roof.
Do I fit it before or after the ridge?
Before. Fit the end caps first so the ridge caps lap over the folded ears, giving a watertight, layered finish.
